Donnie Glenn Comer July 9, 2025
Donnie Glenn Comer, 68 of Rochelle, Va., passed away at his home on July 9, 2025. A devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was born on October 20, 1956, in Waynesboro, Va., and was the son of Gloria Jacqueline Comer and the late Glenn Brandford Comer. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister Vickie Harlow. Donnie is survived by his wife of 44 years Dorsey Allison Comer; daughters Katie Comer and Heather Comer and son James Comer; grandchildren Charlotte, Brent, Ella and Josiah Comer; three sisters Deborah Beaver (Roger), Sharon Kaye and Angela Humphries (Todd); and several nieces and nephews. There are no words to express how much he will be missed by all of us.
Donnie was a tireless worker, whose dedication to his craft was evident in every project he undertook, building a respected career and lifelong friendships.
Outside of work, Donnie found joy in antiquing and thrifting, shooting pool every Wednesday night and playing with his grandchildren. Donnie’s quiet strength, hard working nature, and love for his family defined the way he lived his life.
Please join us to honor and celebrate Donnie’s life at 10:00am on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Preddy’s Funeral Home in Madison, Va. Please do not wear black, as Donnie loved colors!
Donnie will be remembered for his remarkable ability to endure difficult circumstances with a positive attitude, kind heart and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
