Born on January 29, 1962, she was the daughter of Dell Iva Griffin Jr and Helen Martha Epperson. She is preceded in death by her father and her sisters, Maggie Cole and Wanda Lee Johnson. 

Delva was passionate about her family and keeping them close. She used her love of the outdoors and camping to schedule adventures that would keep everyone connected, and the more remote the location, the better. She surrounded herself with flowers and plants and had a deep sense of accomplishment watching them flourish under her green thumb. She lived life on her own terms. She traveled extensively and enjoyed sharing stories and knowledge about things she had seen and experienced. She loved cooking, sharing her food, feeding everyone and would help anyone in need. 

She is survived by her husband, Francis Michael Blewitt; her daughter, Trista Jade Griffin; her mother, Helen Martha Epperson; her stepson, Damian Michael Blewitt; her siblings, Jennifer Robin Lang, Mickie Spencer, Jeff Griffin Sr, Chris Casteel, Greg Shimp, Pamela Shifflett, her best friend, Shari Turner and many other beloved family members and friends.  

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
