Gerald G. Tusing
Funeral Assistant
Gerald G. Tusing is a funeral home assistant. Twenty years ago, a friend introduced him to the Preddy family, and he began working with them on a simple handshake and no contract. Gerald was born and raised in Orange County, Virginia, just a mile from James Madison’s Montpelier. He has been married for over 34 years to “the girl next door,” his neighbor and best friend’s sister, who is now his wife.
Gerald has three adult children and two granddogs. He is passionate about making people laugh and cannot stand to see anyone having a bad day or going through difficult times. Having personally experienced being on the “other side” of the profession, he brings compassion and understanding to his work. Gerald finds comfort in helping families share their memories and believes that if he can bring a smile or a laugh while they remember a loved one, he has done his job.
In his free time, he enjoys visiting the mountains and the beach, working on his home or cars when time allows, and spending time with family and friends. Gerald is also a proud member of the Gordonsville Volunteer Fire Department and the Orange County Rescue Squad.
