Her husband, Paul Thomas Davis, her parents, Robert Lee Moubray, and Dorothy Lee Rogers Moubray, preceded her in death.

She was born in Charlottesville on January 23, 1953. She worked as an instructional assistant for special needs education, and was a lifelong member of the North Pamunkey Baptist Church.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Amanda Valentine, and fiancé, Johnathon Napier, sons, Gregory Davis of Roanoke, Va., Steven Valentine, two sisters, Wanda Penton, Janet Lewis, and husband, Gene, five grandchildren, Kasey Davis, Makayla Valentine, Davis Valentine, Gabrielle Douthit and Finn Napier.

According to Joyce’s wishes, the burial will be private.

Preddy Funeral Home in Orange assisted the family with arrangements.
