John William Gallihugh July 12, 2025
John William Gallihugh, 87 of Oak Park, Va. passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Dogwood Village in Orange, Va. He was born on November 12, 1937 to the late Charles Henry Gallihugh and Edith Deale Gallihugh. He was also preceded in death by nine siblings, Claude W. Galllhugh, W. Shirley Gallihugh, Charles E. Gallihugh, Bertha L. Johnson, Sarah C. Garner, Edna P. Peyton, Virginia A. Gallihugh, Rosa L. Hartman, and Jesse James Gallihugh; niece, Frances A. Middleton.
John was employed and treated like family by Alvin H. and Carrie G. Carpenter and Michael H. and Lucille Carpenter of Glen Oak Dairy Farm for over 50 years.
He is survived by his sisters, June M. Chastain of Brightwood and Ruby L. Walker of Culpeper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Mt. Zion Community Church Cemetery conducted by Pastor Tim Jarrell.
