Arlene Barker Brill June 27, 2025
Arlene Barker Brill passed away June 27, 2025 at her home. She was born on March 24, 1948 to the late Claude Barker and Virginia Davis Barker. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Rodger Brill; infant brother, Claude Edward Barker; brother Alvin Barker (Joyce); and sister June Morris (Stewart).
Arlene graduated from Orange County High School in 1966, and she immediately started to work at State Farm Insurance where she retired after 37 years. She and Rodger continued their hobby of collecting farm toys which carried them across the entire United States. She was a member of Stanardsville Baptist church where she held numerous jobs throughout the years
She is survived by her only son, Kevin Brill and wife Tiffany of Stanardsville; three granddaughters, Rianna Brill and friend Damian, Eliza Brill of Stanardsville, and Presley Brill of Richmond,Va; sisters, Erma Jean Williams of Louisa, Myrtle Purdum(Wayne) of Charlottesville, Brenda Joseph (Wade) of Louisa, Sheila Gallihugh(Kin) of Barboursville; brothers, Dallas Barker (Sherri) of Louisa, Randy Barker (Cathy) of Stanardsville; seven nieces; and eight nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in her memory to the ALS Association of Virginia.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison with interment in Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, Va. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison.
