Robert “Shorty” C. Lohr, 81 of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, February 07, 2023 at UVA Culpeper Hospital. He was born on January 1, 1942 to the late Edgar Forrest Lohr and Vergie Lee Lohr. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Macon Utz and Marion Reynolds.

He was the owner/operator of S&B Grocery at Aroda, Va. for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Lee Knighting Lohr; son, Robert Wayne Lohr and Regina Jenkins of Culpeper;  daughters, Laurie Ann Acors and husband Michael of Spotsylvania, Va. and Michelle Lee Canterbury and husband Rodney of Madison, Va; brother, Richard Allen Lohr and wife Betty of Richmond, Va.; grandchildren, Brandon Lee Acors, Robert Wayne Lohr, Darren Michael Acors, Brian Lee Canterbury; step-granddaughter, Sherry; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Emmett, Tucker, Jase; step-great-granddaughter, Jaelyn.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison with family receiving friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
