Richard Alan Harris "Poppy"            April 6, 2023

Richard Alan Harris “Poppy”, 61, passed away Thursday April 6, 2023, in Louisa Virginia. He was born November 10,1961 in Fairfax, Virginia. 

 Richard leaves behind his brothers Ronald Harris and Walter Harris (Kris Kingrae), and sisters Diana Harris and Tina Lintner (John). Children Olivia “Libby” Carver, Aimee Carver, John Carver (Jennifer). His nieces and nephews, Brandon Harris, Shane Harris, Stephanie Dawson, Ariel Campbell, Elizabeth Bodmer, Daniel Lintner and Brooke Lintner. Grand niece and nephew Jaiden and Aubree Bodmer. He also leaves behind his one grandson Jaiden Highley along with many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Dewey Harris and his brother, Robert Harris.

Richard had several loves throughout his life. He was a skilled and precise mechanic who loved watching and attending NASCAR races; His favorite driver was Bill Elliot. He rooted wholeheartedly for the Redskins, win or lose. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed sharing time with his children. He most of all loved being a grandfather to Jaiden HIghley and a great uncle to Jaiden and Aubree Bodmer. They were the great joys and loves of his life.

There will be a memorial service for Richard Alan Harris which will be scheduled at a later date.
