William Lee Wells Jr, 67, of Lindsay Lane, Orange, died on Monday, January 31, 2022, at his residence. He was born on November 23, 1954 in Charlottesville and was the son of the late William L. Wells Sr. and Selenia Williams Wells.

He is survived by his wife Bernice Lindsay Wells of Orange; two sons Nathaniel "Chris" Wells and wife Shawn of Troy, and William "Billy" Wells III of Orange; seven grandchildren William Wells IV, Alexus Wells, Xavier Wells, Zoe Wells, Zion Wells, Desmond Carter and Olivia Knight; two great grandchildren Auri Wells, and Julez Wells; two brothers Jason Wells of Fredericksburg, and Sherman Wells of Burkesville; three sisters Saundra Taylor and Paul of Louisa, Marquita Minor of Fredericksburg, and Christie Smith of Gordonsville; a brother-in-law James "Jimmy" Lindsay of Orange; and a sister-in-law Mary Page of Orange.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at the Preddy Funeral Chapel, Orange. Interment will be private and there will be no repass following the memorial service. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family.
