Thomas J. Sheridan, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud veteran, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the age of 82.
Born on July 21, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, Tom was the beloved son of Francis E. and Rosalie Sheridan.
Tom honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, earning an honorable discharge as a Sergeant. His service was a source of quiet pride and reflected his deep sense of duty and commitment to others.
Following his military service, Tom built a remarkable professional career at Mobil Oil, where he worked for 30 years as an executive. Known for his leadership, discipline, and steady judgment, he was respected by colleagues and trusted to guide teams through challenges until his well-earned retirement.
Above all, Tom was a family man. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Judith Sheridan, with whom he shared a life rooted in faith, partnership, love, and loyalty. He was a proud and devoted father to his three children: Meghan Brooks, Shea Sheridan, and Corey Sheridan, and a cherished father-in-law to each of their spouses. Tom’s greatest joy was his role as “Pop-Pop” to his seven grandchildren, who brought him endless pride, laughter, and happiness.
Tom will be remembered for his strength, generosity, sense of responsibility, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he shaped, the values he passed down, and the deep affection held for him by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Tom was a devout Roman Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. The family will hold a memorial and celebration of life for Tom sometime in the early summer. They will reach out to those who knew him with more details in the coming weeks.
