Thomas “Tommy” Fonrose Bayles III, 65, of Gordonsville, Virginia, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025.
Born on October 7, 1960, he was the son of the late Thomas Fonrose Bayles Jr. and Kathleen Turbin. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery Warren Bayles.
Tommy was a hard worker, always busy farming, hunting, or fishing. He also enjoyed riding horses and raising hogs. He had a good heart. He will be remembered for his catchphrase “only half of what you hear and half of what you see”.
Tommy is survived by his sisters, Bonnie Gundersen and Patty Strouse; his nieces and nephews Heather, AnneMarie, Brittany, Geena, Mark Thomas, Savannah, Joslyn, and Jenifer; and his great-nieces and nephews, Dominic, Aaliyah, Evry, Miles, and Sophia.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
