Thelma Agnes Jones Preisser

Thelma Agnes Jones Preisser, 74 of Madison, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026 at UVA Hospital. She was born on December 25, 1951 to the late Harry Glenn Jones, Sr. and Frances Grace Ryder Jones. She was also preceded in death by her son, David William Myers, Jr.
Thelma was talented in many things. She spent her life doing and caring for others. She served as a caregiver to the young, old, or anyone that needed a loving hand. When Thelma was around, nobody went un-loved or un-fed. Cooking was her love language, and her boys are a testament to exactly how much love she had to give.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph Conway Myers and wife Sarah, Richard Herman Preisser and wife Livvy, and Paul Albert Preisser and wife Maggie; brothers, Harry Glenn Jones, Jr. and Jeffrey J. Jones; sisters, Toni Lynn Barret and husband John, Tina Robin Gilley and husband Calvin, and Temple Louise Elswick and husband Don; and seven grandchildren.
