Terry Lee Walters

Terry Lee Walters, 79, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at UVA Hospital. Born May 8, 1947, in Charlottesville, VA, he was the son of the late George W. and Sylvia Wood Walters. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Christopher Alan Walters; and a grandson, Matthew Lovett.

Terry was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving on several tours and earning himself a Purple Heart during his service. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #156.

Terry is survived by his wife, Darlene Walters; a daughter, Robin Ann Walters and significant other Ryan Lovett of Orange; a brother, Bruce Walters of Chesterfield; sisters, Jean Ann Wine (Ron) of Orange, Janet Jones (Bruce) Unionville, and Janice Marie Walters; grandchildren, Lucas Walters, Brandon Ramirez, Rachel Ross, Sydney Walters, Taylor Walters, and Faith Walters; and great-grandchildren, Brielle Ramirez and Brantley Walters.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 29th, at 1:00 PM at Zion Baptist Church, 15316 Old Gordonsville Road, Orange, VA, 22960.
