Shirley Belle Snyder

Shirley Snyder of Zion Crossroads, Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 6, 2026. She was the daughter of the late James Cobey Snyder and Ethel Duckworth Snyder. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Cobey and James Oliver Snyder; sisters, Wilma Snyder Dogan and Phyllis Snyder Brode. She was also preceded in death by her husband Randolph F. Phillips.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Sharan Collier and husband Frank Collier; step daughters Sandi Phillips and husband Paul McClung Jr., and Dawn Crawford and husband Steven. Grandchildren include Cobey Collier, Lisa Vasquez and husband Nelson, Lee Collier and Lynette Collier; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Her memory will live on in all of those who loved her.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Maplewood Cemetery in Gordonsville.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Piedmont. The family extends deep gratitude to the ladies who donated their time and compassion, and the CNAs who helped care for her.
