Sandra Sue Weaver, 78 of Zion Cross Roads, passed away on Wednesday March 1, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born August 2, 1944 in Greenville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Mildred Mclawhorn. She was also preceded in death by her husband Wayne Weaver, Sr. and a son, Mike Davis. She was a retired editor of the Clinical Chemistry Journal of UVA, where she worked for many years. Sandy was a longtime member of Zion United Methodist Church. She loved the beach, elvis music, dancing, cooking and doing for her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Newell of Massanutten, two daughters, Debbie Cole, Donna Naylor, her son, Wayne "Rusty" Weaver, Jr. all of Zion Cross Roads, 10 grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and a special friend, James Fennell.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday March 8, 2023 at Zion United Methodist church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family would like to thank, Renee Herring and Casey Weaver who took very special care of her the last days of her life.
