Roy "Frankie" Smith Jr.

Roy "Frankie" Smith Jr., 77, of Gordonsville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday, November 4, 2024 in Louisa Health and Rehab. He was born January 19, 1947 in Gordonsville to the late Roy Franklin Smith Sr. and Madie Ola Fincham Smith.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Lynn Lillard and a brother Larry Eugene Smith.

Frankie is survived by his wife, Thelma Hoffman Smith; daughter, Beverly S. Martyn and husband Mike of Gordonsville; brothers, Charles W. Smith and wife Karen, Richard L. Smith and wife Wanda; sister, Linda Smith Ferguson and husband Bob all of Orange; grandchildren, Jennifer M. Reynolds and husband Josef of Palmyra, Brandon M. Martyn of Gordonsville; great-grandchildren, Destiny N. Reynolds and Skylar M. Martyn.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville, with Pastor Jason Bird officiating. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 7 at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Nayar Health Care & Hospice and Louisa Health & Rehab for their care of Frankie. They would also like to thank Frankie's caregivers, Beverly Martyn, Brandon Martyn, and Debbie Hoffman.
