Roy Cecil Peyton

Roy Cecil Peyton, 83, of Gordonsville, passed away Monday, October 26, 2026, in Charlottesville. He was born December 19, 1942, in Madison County. He was the son of the late Willie Carroll Peyton and Alice Irene Foster Peyton. Also preceded in death by his brothers, Willie Carroll Peyton, Jr., Cleveland Ray Peyton, James Randolph Peyton, Wayne Lewis Peyton; sisters, Phyllis Erlene Peyton and Bessie Peyton Pritchett.

He’s survived by his wife, Linda Gayle Vogt Peyton, of Gordonsville, Virginia; his son, Dwayne Peyton and wife Brenna, of Antioch, Tennessee; and a number of nieces and nephews. Roy will be missed by numerous friends.

Cecil was a former employee of Virginia Metals and Rosencrantz companies for many years.
