It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rose G Christmas, a cherished member of the community, beloved family member, and treasured friend. Rose departed this life peacefully, surrounded by family, and leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.

Her Life and Legacy
Rose was born with a spirit that brightened every room she entered. Throughout her life, she demonstrated compassion, generosity, and resilience. Her commitment to her family and friends was evident in the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her. Rose was on Homecoming Court, played basketball, and ran track at Louisa County High School. Rose retired from the Air Force after more than 20 years of service and recently retired from federal service at the Veteran’s Administration.
Rose was known for her thoughtful nature, her infectious laughter, and her ability to bring people together. Whether hosting family gatherings or being active in church, she gave her time and energy selflessly to ensure others felt valued and supported.

Family and Friends
Rose is survived by her loving family, who will forever cherish her memory and carry her spirit in their hearts. She is preceded in death by her parents Deacon Willie, Sr and Elect Lady Rose Christmas and brothers Willie Jr. and Melvin and sister, Vernell Ayres. Her legacy continues through her siblings: Charles Christmas (Regina), Joan Christmas, S Theresa Whiting (Gary), Thomas Christmas, and Cassandra Christmas. Rose's relationships spanned generations, she has had special friendships with Sis Maude Ragland and Elect Lady Juanita Dailey lovingly referred to as her ‘other mothers’, her former husband. Her nieces and nephews called her Aunt Boo. Cousins and other family called her Gwen. Whatever your name for her, we all call her blessed. Her impact will be felt for years to come.

A service to celebrate Rose's life will be held at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville, VA on January 27, 2026, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory, officiated by Apostle James R Ragland, House of God Cobham.
