Roger Daryl Dodson, 56 of Madison, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at his home. He was born on December 19, 1966 to Judy Broyles Dodson and the late Buddy Rogers Dodson.

Daryl was a longtime Madison Mountaineer athlete, fan, and beloved coach. He was a member of the Madison Jaycee's. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener. Out of all the clubs and sports he has been a part of, he loved to coach, it was his favorite job by a mile.

He is survived by wife, Angela Cronk Dodson; son, Dalton Nathaniel Dodson; brothers, Chris Dodson, Chad Dodson and wife Rebecca; mother-in-law, Myrtle Cronk; sister-in-law, Annica Grubb and husband Chris; nephews, Caleb Dodson, Colton Dodson, Eli Grubb; nieces, Haley Grubb and Malorie Grubb.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison conducted by Pat Kelliher. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to UVA Cardiology, 500 Ray C. Hunt Drive, Charlottesville, Va. 22903
