Robert Carl Pendleton

Robert Carl Pendleton, 78, of Orange, passed away on September 10, 2024, in Orange, Va. He was born on January 1, 1946, in Charlottesville, and was a son of the late Lewis William and Ethel Lee Lipscomb Pendleton. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Lewis Pendleton, and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara Janet Kidd Pendleton, and a daughter, Diane Kaye Pendleton both of Orange, a uncle James Grant Pendleton, and wife Doris, of Stephens City, Va., a aunt, Bertha Pendleton Krise, of Orange, a sister-in-law, Martha Godwin Pendleton, of Ashland, Va., and a daughter by choice, Pam Cluff Walker

After he retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad he spent his time in service to his family and neighbors. The family would like to thank his medical staff and caregivers, Angela, Joyce, Olivia, and Sally for their genuine concern and wonderful care.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Orange with burial to follow in Graham Cemetery. Rev. Alan Miller will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour before the service on Friday.

Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association or your local pet rescue choice.
