Ricky Lee Colvin, 72, of Orange, Virginia, passed away on February 19, 2026. Born on June 8, 1953, Ricky lived a life defined by hard work, strong convictions, and deep love for his family. Ricky was reunited with his beloved wife, Ellen Yvonne Colvin, who passed away before him. Together, they built a life grounded in family, faith, and love for their land.
He is survived by his sister Nancy Richardson. His children: Ricky Colvin II and Heidi Colvin, and his daughter Kimberly Colvin and her child Mary Jane Nelms; Roger Colvin and Stephanie Easton and his children Ryan Colvin and Zoey Colvin; Reynolds Colvin and Theresa Colvin and their children Robert Mesimer and Brady Mesimer; and Terra Colvin and Gray Park and their children Cordelia and Cairen Southa and Jade and Dominic Sin. His legacy lives on through each of them.
A dedicated farmer and construction business owner, Ricky spent his life working with his hands and building not only structures, but a life for his family. His farm was his pride and joy, a place where he felt most at home. Ricky had a wide range of interests that reflected his curious and spirited personality. He loved studying World War II history, was fascinated by aliens and Bigfoot, and never lost his sense of wonder about the unknown. He had a deep love for animals—especially his cats—and was a proud John Deere enthusiast. He also enjoyed singing, often bringing his own unique energy and voice to the room during karaoke.
Ricky will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of storytelling, his passions, and his devotion to those he cared about. He leaves behind a family rooted in the values he lived every day—hard work, loyalty, and love of home. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
