Rebecca Lynn Morris

Rebecca “Becky” Lynn Morris, 67, of Troy, Virginia, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Born on November 28, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Morris. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert “Bobby” E. Morris Jr.; and her sister, Barbara “Janie” Morris Thomas.

Becky was known for her love of quilting and all crafts, but especially for how much she loved being with her family and spending time with them.

Becky is survived by her husband, Bernard “Bunny” Jones; her daughter, Amanda Gibson (Brandon); her brother, Ronnie L. Morris; her sisters, Shirley Bryant (Forrest), and Lisa Sprouse (Steve); her granddaughter, Abigail Gibson; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Sentara for their care of Rebecca.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Troy, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville.
