.Polly Ann Shifflett, 78 0f Barboursville passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday April 20, 2023. Born on November 22, 1944 in Stanardsville, she was the daughter of the late Emory and Gertie Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Shifflett who passed away in 2014, a grandson, Chaz Tinder, three sisters, Margaret Wood, Betty Taylor and Alice "Hoochie" Taylor. Polly worked at the Silk Mill, LMC and Liberty Fabrics in Gordonsville until its closure.

She is survived by her three sons, James Shifflett and significant other Theresa McIntosh, Matthew Shifflett and significant other Rhonda Mullins, Mark Shifflett, one daughter, Margaret Shifflett and husband Jody Rogers, one sister, Mary Marshall, twelve grandchildren, Taylor "Tess" Shifflett, Catoria Shifflett, Mark Shifflett, Jr., Lawrence Shifflett, Chastyn Tinder, Katelynn Shifflett, Abilene Shifflett, Mercedes Shifflett, Cale Dakota Sprouse, Richard Finley, IV, Jody Rogers ,Morgan Rogers, two step grandchildren, Chasidy Rogers, Megan Rogers and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday April 28, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville with Pastor Terry Jewell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
