Pamela Selena Strother

Pamela Selena Strother was born on February 26th, 1971 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Gene Jerry Strother, Sr. and Betty Ann Strother. Pamela became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church at a very young age.

Pamela was fun-loving and enjoyed life to the fullest. Her greatest joy came from her son Chance, to whom she devoted all her time. She cherished the moments she spent with family and friends.

Pamela gained her heavenly wings on Friday, October 10th, 2025 at her home in Stanardsville, VA. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Pamela is preceded in death by her father, Gene Jerry Strother, Sr. and mother, Betty Ann Strother. Her paternal grandparents, Alfred and Lottie Strother and maternal grandmother Ada Graves Bright. Her aunts Alice Carpenter and Geraldine Johnson and her uncles Maxwell Strother, Terry Tyler, and Thomas Walls.

Pamela leaves to cherish her memory, her loving son Chance Lamar Johnson, her brother Gene Jerry Strother, Jr. and wife Danielle of Madison, VA. Her nieces Teresa and Breanna Strother and nephew Justin Warren of Ruckersville, VA. Her aunts Patsy Walls, Martha Tyler, Hope Strother, and Shirley Strother of Charlottesville, VA., Gloria Bright and Sharon Bright of Stanardsville, VA., her uncle Wilson Bright of Stanardsville, VA., and close friend Elliott Johnson of Charlottesville, VA.

Pamela also leaves to cherish a host of cousins and dear friends.
