With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Owen William Colvin, who was born on June 27, 2012, and passed away on October 16, 2026.

Though Owen’s time here was far too short, his life mattered, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. His passing leaves behind a family and community grieving the loss of a young life taken too soon.

Owen is survived by his parents, Glen Griner, II & Amber Griner and Andy Colvin & Tiffiney Sims-Colvin, all of Madison, Virginia. He is also survived by his beloved siblings: Curtis, Emma, Keriona, Leighanne, Abageal, Daniel, Noah, Mersates, Stetsin, Cruz, and Bronc. Surviving Grandparents are Denny & April Fincham, Jeff & Paula Roberts, Thomas & Karen Lillard, Gary & Jean Sims, Glen Griner, Sr & Dena Griner, Marla White and Great Grandmother Doris Fincham.

During this difficult time, we ask that family and friends surround Owen’s loved ones with compassion, love, and prayer as they navigate this heartbreaking loss. May they find comfort in the memories they hold dear and strength in the love of those standing beside them.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the Novum Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Owen’s life and celebrate the time they were blessed to have him.

Though words cannot ease the pain of losing someone so young, may Owen’s memory serve as a lasting reminder of the preciousness of life and the importance of loving one another.

Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
