Norma Sue Morris

Norma Sue Morris, 89, of Ruckersville passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, in Charlottesville, Va. Born December 4, 1936, in Washington, DC. Norma Sue was the daughter of the late Oswald Carlton McMullen and Allegra Durrer McMullen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Holman Nelson Morris; her sister, Arlgia M. Sayers of Lewisville, NC and her grandson Caine Morris of West VA.
Norma Sue was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and loved her church family. She was also a member of the Barboursville Ladies Auxiliary, and the Barboursville Ruritan Club. Norma and Holman owned M&M Market at Ehearts Corner for many years, and established Morris Trailer Park. Norma lived in Valley View subdivision in Ruckersville, where her neighbors were her extended family: sisters, brothers, children, and grandchildren were always there at her side watching over her.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet Morris of Orange, Judy Morris (David) of Barboursville, Joyce M. Howard (Gabriel) of Princeton, West VA, Jean Morris of Crozet, Julia M. Roberts (Phillip) of Somerset; brother, Frank L. McMullen of Charlottesville; sister, Peggy M. Taylor of Stanardsville; grandchildren, Brian Sacra (Sandy), Kerri Winn, Kimberly Lettner (Donnie), Jillian Garth (Ashby), Jennifer Gilley (Jacob), Jessica Wilken (Matt) and Jackie Eddins (Waverly), Nicole Morris, Lindsay Morris (Eddie), Lauren Morris (Logan), Austin Roberts (Samantha), Morgan Lawrence (Chance); great-grandchildren, Kayla (Dalton), Austin, Brian, Ryleigh, Kinsley, Landon, Jocelyn, Thomas, Sadie, Nora Grace, Tucker, Ryder, Henry, Walter, Will, Laine, Kendyll, Lilly, Holly, Ezrah, Eddie, Braelynn, Mason, Logan, Blake, and Wyatt; and great-great-grandson Briar.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville conducted by pastor Steve Nethery, with interment following at Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from (4 to 6 pm).
