Nancy Marie Shotwell

Nancy Marie Shotwell, 58 of Syria, Va., passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at her home. She was born on May 24, 1964 to the late Hall Thompson Shotwell and Sarah LaVerne Shotwell.

She worked for the Madison County School System for thirty-four years and was a long-time employee of Graves Mountain Lodge.

She is survived by her brother, Danny Shotwell; her sisters, Connie Knighting and husband Joey and Gail Shotwell; special niece, Brittany Weakley and boyfriend Benji Morris; special nephew, Jamie Shotwell and partner, Christopher Weightman; great niece, Jordyn Morris; and special friend, Jerry Cave. We wish to thank Lisa Stone and Heather Kelly of Hospice for being there for our family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison with Pastor Dan Yowell officiating. Interment will be in Criglersville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 10:00 am to 11:00 at the funeral home.
