Mike Horrocks

Mike Horrocks, 58 of Brightwood, Va., passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at his home. He was born on July 27, 1967, to the late Walter Horrocks and Lorarena Mullins Horrocks. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William “Bill” Horrocks.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Utz Horrocks; daughter, Bridgett D. Wilson and husband Steven; son, Dusty L. Horrocks and girlfriend Alayna Shiffett; brother, Lee Horrocks and wife Debbie; sister, Theresa Toussaint; sister-in-law, Sonya Horrocks; brother-in-laws, Raymond Utz, William Utz and wife Linda; Cousin Gordon Utz; nephews, Nate Horrocks and Jesse Horrocks; nieces, Shannon Wells, Kirby Horrocks, Toni Horrocks; and granddaughter, Ella G. Wilson.

Mike loved spending time with his family. In his free time, he was an avid hunter, fisher, and outdoorsman. He loved woodworking, and created so many unique pieces for family, friends, and people in the community. Mike was always happy go lucky and never met a stranger. He was a light to all he knew and met. Mike was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and coworker. He is so loved and will be missed by many.

A service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Madison Church of the Brethren in Brightwood, VA 22715
