Mary Estelle Southard, 84 of Gordonsville died Friday March 4, 2022. Born March 15, 1937 in Gordonsville, she was the daughter of the late Norman Lewis Thomas and Lorraine Vogt Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Southard, Jr., two sisters, Phyllis Hicks, Linda McClung and a brother, Bruce Thomas. Mary was a longtime member of the Gordonsville Presbyterian Church and had most recently been attending the Gordonsville Methodist Church.

She is survived by a sister, Faye Gray of Culpeper and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday March 11, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville with interment to follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Pastor Ethan Shearer will officiate.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
