Mary Hattie Beasley, 94 of Orange, Va., passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Dogwood Village.   She was born on June 7, 1927 to the late John Douglas and Geneva Baker Beasley.

Mary attended the public schools of Madison County and graduated from Carver Regional High School in 1950. She joined Locust Grove Baptist Church in 1941, but later became connected with Jehovah's Witnesses through their extensive home training program and Bible courses. After a course of work that lasted a couple of years at Morton's Frozen Foods of Crozet, Va., she returned home to care for her ailing relative. Later she returned to work as aide with underprivileged children at Criglersville Elementary School. In 1979 she accepted the position of custodian at the Opportunities Industrialization Center's Madison Branch which ended in August of 1980.

There are no immediate family survivors.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with Rev. Frank Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
