Martha Early Payne

Martha Early Payne, 84, of Orange, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Novant Health University Culpeper Medical Center. She was born on February 8, 1937 in Orange County and was the daughter of the late James Walter and Virginia Newman Early and was also preceded in death by her husband Lewis Samuel Payne.
Mrs. Payne is survived by her sons, Michael Lynn Payne and wife Dolores, of Zebulon, North Carolina, James Glynn Payne and wife Kim, of Clarksburg, West Virginia, one grandchild, Kristyna Payne Gibson and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Orange Baptist Church P.O. Box 167, Orange, Va. 22960. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family with arrangements.
