Martha Sue Butler, 74 of Culpeper, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Martha Jefferson Hospital. She was born on April 16, 1947 to the late Boyd Ray Coffey and Mary Elizabeth Hayes Coffey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Brown Butler; a son, Chris Richards, and brother, Bob Coffey.

She is survived by her son, Mike Richards and wife Kathy; brothers, Steve Coffey and wife Shirley of Stanardsville, Scott Coffey and wife Diane of Culpeper, Dennis Coffey and wife Donna of Culpeper, and Douglas Coffey and wife Bonnie of Madison; grandchildren, Stephen Bayne, Anna Richards, Dalton Richards, and Chase Richards.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison. Pastor Charles Shifflett will officiate. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
