Marshall Clark

With grateful hearts and cherished memories we celebrate the life of Marshall Clark, who peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on Thursday August 6, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. He lived a life marked by love, integrity, hard work, compassion, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends.

Known for his kind heart, gentleness, and generous spirit, Marshall was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a man of strong character and integrity whose actions consistently reflected his values. His quiet strength, compassion, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know him.

A dedicated and hard-working man, Marshall faithfully served the City of Charlottesville for more than 30 years. He took great pride in his work and earned the respect of his co-workers and community through his commitment, dependability, and excellent work ethic.

More than any accomplishment, he cherished his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faithfulness, and perseverance that will continue to inspire those who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness and example.

Marshall loved any kind of sport, but his favorite was baseball and he followed the Atlanta Braves. He loved working out, lifting weights and walking. He loved old country music, westerns, coffee, biscuits and gravy, and playing cards (even though we think he cheated).

He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Otie Clark, his beloved wife Mary, sister Ruby Clark, three brothers Henry, Bob, and Emmett Clark, Brother-in-Law Roger Jordan and Grandson Stephen Hossain.

He is survived by his Son- Gary Clark, Step-Son Ryland Ruffner (Tory), Step-Daughters Stefanie Dunivan (Lloyd), Step-Daughter-Rev. Windy Walton, Sister-Lois Jordan, Brother-Lucky Clark (Gail); Grandchildren-Justin Walton (Julie), Victoria Walton, Brittnie Dunivan, and Brett Dunivan; Great Grandchildren-Riley Clark, Axel Walton, Mia Martin, Mason Clark, Dakota Dunivan, Jasper Dunivan, and Lilah Walton; Nephews-Shawn Jordan, Samuel Jordan (Leslie), Michael Jordan (Jennie); Nieces-Amy White (Cliff) and Nancy Clark (Michael).

A funeral service will be held at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville on a date to be determined. Full information will follow shortly.
