Marjorie Louise Winkelmann, 97, of Orange, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025, at a local nursing facility.
She was born in Lancaster, PA, on November 13, 1928, to Otto and Bertha Baer Winkelmann. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Gorzenski, one brother, Eugene Winkelmann, and one sister, Hilda W. Goodman.
She had retired from teaching and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her devoted nephew, Bryce T Goodman; step-daughters, Brenda Growden (Artie) and Sandra Hottinger (Charlie); cousin, Fred Reiger (Teresa) and family; nieces, Heidi Atwood (Robert) and Holly Burge (Kerin); great-nephews Zach Atwood and Matthew Burge; great-niece, Renee (Will); great grandchildren, Ashley White (Matthew) and Kayleigh Burge; great-great nephew Dakota and great-great niece Raven.
As per her request, there will be no service.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Paul Stefan Foundation, 120 Caroline Street, Orange, VA. 22960, Love Outreach Food Pantry, 252 Blue Ridge Drive, Orange, VA 22960
