Loren Richard Tennyson

Loren Richard Tennyson, 81, of Brightwood, Va., passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday, October 20, 2025. He was born on July 13, 1944, at George Washington University Hospital to the late Lawrence Robert Tennyson and Clara Lynn Tennyson. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Leona Tennyson. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Machinist Mate Third Class (MM3) aboard the USS Mistletoe (WML-237).

He is survived by his stepchildren, Guy “Butch” Foster III (Lori), Rhonda Hughes (Ron), and Kristi Mrotek (Todd); his brother, Lance; and his sisters, Linda, Lee, and Lorraine; his grandchildren, Alaina Breeden (Steve), Alex Foster (Alison), Evie Foster, Sidney Mrotek, Julia Mrotek, Samantha Hughes, and Tyler Hughes.

A graveside service will be held at Culpeper National Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 31, 2025.
