Lois Berry Utz

Lois Berry Utz, 79, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Born on February 23, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Jackson and Sadie Shifflett Berry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Utz; her son, Tony Ray Utz; and her son-in-law, Randolph Hurt.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Teresa Lynn Shaver and Bonnie Ann Hurt; her grandchildren, Wendy Frye (Dee Frye), LeeAnne Shaver (Michael Dodson), and Jessica Weaver (Patrick Weaver); and her great-grandchildren, Tristen, Eric, and Declan Weaver, and Easton Dodson. She is also survived by her Brothers, Ray Berry (Paula) and Donald “Buck” Berry (Linda); and a special niece, Connie Knighting.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison with Pastor Jeff Shifflett officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. The burial will follow at Etlan Cemetery.
