Lloyd Stanley Dodson

Lloyd Stanley Dodson, 87 of Louisa, formally of Madison, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 in Louisa. He was born on June 10, 1936 to the late Seldon Morgan Dodson and Nancy Ellea Breeden Dodson. He was also preceded in death by two wives, Edna Haynes Johannis and Louise Shifflett Haynes; brothers, Jesse Morgan Dodson, Sr., Seldon Ross Dodson, Fred Dodson, John Lamb, David Lamb; sisters, Virginia Pearl Dodson, Lucy Marie Dodson, Folly Ann Dodson, Jane Cave.

Lloyd was a retired 22-year veteran of the U. S. Navy. He retired from R. L. Ryder Construction of Northern Virginia, and he also enjoyed farming.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie Marie Dodson; special nephew, Jesse Morgan Dodson, Jr.; numerous stepchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.   His stepson and wife were caregivers for Lloyd.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with Pastor Bruce Beeler, Jr. Interment will be in Culpeper National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 11:30 to 12:30 pm at the funeral home.
