Linda Lohr Gallihugh

Linda Lohr Gallihugh, 77, passed away on Monday, August 10th, surrounded by the love of her family.

Linda was born on June 28, 1949, in Kingstree, South Carolina, and moved to Madison County at age three. A 1967 graduate of Madison County High School and Student Government President her senior year, she earned her degree from James Madison College (now James Madison University) in 1971.

Linda dedicated her career to educating and inspiring young people, teaching in Orange and Louisa County Public Schools for more than 25 years. Her passion for learning and caring heart made a lasting difference in the lives of her students.

Linda's deep faith and love of music guided her lifelong service to the church. She served as Music Director at both Louisa Baptist Church in Louisa and Good Hope Baptist Church in Radiant, where she faithfully led worship and touched countless lives through her ministry, dedication, and servant's heart.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Bennett Ray Lohr (March 30, 1928 - November 27, 1965) and Nadine Boyette Lohr (November 30, 1929 - September 6, 2014).

She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Stuart Gallihugh; her daughter, Misty Snead and husband Brandon of Richmond, Virginia; her son, Jeremy Gallihugh and wife Dana of Wake Forest, North Carolina; and her beloved grandsons, Braxton Snead, Brady Snead, and Sebastian Gallihugh.

Linda will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love of family, her gift of music, and her lifelong commitment to teaching and serving others. Her kindness, wisdom, and servant's heart touched many lives and created a legacy that will continue for generations.

A graveside service will be held at Good Hope Baptist Church, 2930 Beautiful Run Road, Radiant, Virginia 22732, on Saturday, August 15th @ 1 PM.
