Linda Dudley Berry

Linda Dudley Berry, 79, of Paynes Mill Road, Troy, Virginia died on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Hospice House in Charlottesville. Linda was born on August 8, 1947, in Charlottesville and was the daughter of the late John Linwood Dudley and Hettie Bernice Tanner Dudley.

Linda was a supervisor with the Centel Telephone Company in Charlottesville.

Linda is survived by her husband Donald “Buck” Edward Berry of Troy; a son John Wade Hawkins and wife Kate McCandlish of Charlottesville; two grandchildren Lauren M. Hawkins, and Julianna Marie Hawkins; a sister Janet Dudley Coleman and husband Brian of Louisa; and four nieces Courtney Coleman, Bonnie Hurt, Teresa Shaver, and Tasha Berry.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the Preddy Funeral Chapel, Orange with Rev Jeff Shifflett officiating. Interment will be in the Graham Cemetery, Orange. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family.
