Lee Roy Knighting, Sr., 93 of Madison passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 in Culpeper. Born July 1, 1928 in Madison he was the son of the late Wilmer Lee Knighting, Sr., and Nina Thelma Shifflett Knighting. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Homer Lewis Knighting, Wilmer Lee Knighting, Jr., and Bobby Rogers Knighting.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Smith Knighting, two sons, Brian Thomas Cooper and wife, Tammy, Lee Roy Knighting, Jr., and wife Brandy, one sister, Sylvia K. Utz and four grandchildren, Devan Schwenning, Keith Cooper, Joshua Schwenning and Christina Williams and seven great-grandchildren, Sophia, Lucille, John, Elaina, Madelyn, Destiny and Dalton.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 17, 2021 in Criglersville Cemetery conducted by Bud Alger. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison.
