Josie Eppard Shifflett

Josie Eppard Shifflett, 83 of Ruckersville, Va. passed away on February 7, 2023 at Dogwood Village in Orange, Va.  She was born on August 9, 1939 to the late Dewey Franklin Eppard and Appie May Taylor Eppard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Noble Leonard Shifflett; sister, Joyce Dickerson; great-granddaughter, Chloe Blalock.

She is survived by her sons, Leonard Wayne Shifflett and wife Teresa Sorensen of Az. and Michael Dale Shifflett of Ruckersville; brothers, Hollis Eppard and wife Pat of Ruckersville and Franklin Eppard and wife Janet of Charlottesville; grandchildren, Jennifer Young, Brian Shifflett and wife Brittany, Natalie Fox and husband, Drew, Kelsea Blalock and husband Andrew, Sarah McRorie and husband Justin; great-grandchildren, Austin and Sean Young, Aiden and Avery Shifflett, Ethan and Eric Fox, Brody, Halle, Jovie Blalock, Peyton and Brianna McRorie.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Chapel in Madison. Interment will be in Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, Va. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
