Jonathan James Hasse, 53 of Sperryville, Va., passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at UVA Hospital. He was born on January 15, 1969 in Maryland.

He was a former security guard for the University of Virginia campus and life member of the Madison County Rescue Squad.

He is survived by his parents, James August Hasse and Doris Burdette Jenkins Hasse; wife, Dawn Annette Emerson Hasse; son, Joshua James Hasse; brothers-in-law, Mark D. Emerson, Charles E. Emerson, Keith M. Emerson, Steven Dodson and wife Diane; Aunt Bea Jenkins and her children, Ryan Jenkins, and Richard Jenkins and wife Jenni and their son, Austin

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with Pastor Matthew Schwenk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Interment will be in Etlan Cemetery.
