Johnny Lee Broyles, Sr., 77 of Brightwood, Va., passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023 in Charlottesville, Va. He was born on May 1, 1945 to the late Charles Mason Broyles and Nellie Mae Marsh Broyles. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Faye Richards Broyles.

He is survived by his son, Johnny "Dinky" Broyles, Jr. and wife Sherry of Banco;   daughter, Donna Aylor and husband Larry of Reva;  brothers, Ronnie Broyles and wife Sharon, Carroll Broyles and wife Joan, both of Rixeyville, Daniel Broyles and wife Edna of Rochelle, Kevin Broyles and wife Bobbie of Appomattox; sister, Judy Dodson of Madison; grandchildren, Larry Aylor, Jr. and wife Lauren, Brent Broyles and friend Cheyenne, Ashley Broyles and friend Michael, Katie Aylor; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with interment in Etlan Cemetery. Bud Alger will be conducting the service. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
