John Murry “Steve” Stevens III, 68, of Palmyra, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at UVA Hospital. Born on February 15, 1957, he was the son of the late John Murry Stevens II and Dorothy Elvira Milam.
Steve worked at Hajoca Corporation in Lynchburg for 45 years. He was the biggest UVA sports fan, and loved playing sports with his friends – especially golf. Most of all, Steve loved his family and friends deeply.
Steve is survived by his wife of 34 years, Devona C. Stevens; his sons, Scottie and Trevor; his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Stevens and Carolyn Wit; and many beloved Nieces and Nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Northside Baptist Church at a later date.
