John Jefferson Rogers

John Jefferson Rogers, 73, of Knights Court, Gordonsville passed on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, to be with the Lord and the love of his life. He was born on March 1, 1950, in Charlottesville and was the son of the late Claude Rogers and Viola Shifflett Rogers. He is also predeceased by his wife Barbara Glennis Stanley Rogers; and two brothers and seven sisters. He was a U. S. Marine Veteran and retired Norfolk Southern Rail Road foreman.

He is survived by a daughter Suzanne Rogers-Verling and husband Jamie of Gordonsville; a son Billy Jones and wife Kelly of Orange; four grandchildren Haley Jones, James Webb, Ethan Agee, and Micayla Gentry; a brother Claude "Junior" Rogers and wife Odie of Gordonsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. graveside at the Graham Cemetery, Orange. Pastor Timmy Jarrell will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Preddy Funeral Home, Orange on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M.
