On November 13, 2021 at the age of 86, John Ralph Nixon Jr. loving

husband and father went to be with his Lord. He was born on February 24,

1935 in Queens, NY to John Ralph Nixon Sr. and Beatrice F Miller Nixon

and graduated from Brooklyn Tech HS in NY, class of 1954. He married

Caroyln Jane Schermerhorn on July 28, 1957 in Baldwin, NY. They raised

three boys, David John, Alan Lynn, and Christopher James. He worked as

an electrical sales engineer for ITE switchgear for 30 years and served in

the Navy reserves for 35 years. His church and family were always

important to him. Summer camp outs and Nixon family reunions kept the

family busy. In retirement, they moved to Schoharie County NY, the

birthplace of Caroyln and continued vegetable gardening, helping out at

church and volunteering for the Schoharie Hospice. There were always

plans in the works to attend a bluegrass festival or horsepull or just to set

up his tent and camp out in the backyard.

John was predeceased by his wife, father and mother. He is survived by his

three sons David, Alan and Christopher and their spouses, four

grandchildren, five great grandchildren and six nieces and nephews. In lieu
