John Wesley Newman Jr. 80 of Rhoadesville died on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the Dogwood Village of Orange. Johnny was born on November 15, 1942 in Gordonsville and was the son of the late John Wesley Newman Sr. and Grace Richards Newman.

Johnny is survived by two cousins Phyllis Hamm and Carolyn Windgart.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Rhoadesville Baptist Church with interment in the Unionville Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.   Rev. Don Campbell will officiate. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family.
