John Frederick Morris

John Frederick Morris, 86 of Barboursville, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday December 23, 2022. Born August 1, 1936, he was the son of the late, John Paul Morris and Pearl Conley Morris. He loved his family, his Lord and was a man of great faith. Mr. Morris also loved, hunting, fishing, gardening, playing his guitar and banjo as well as all nature and wildlife. He enjoyed and loved to talk about his trips to Maggie Valley, NC.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Frances Morris, two daughters, Freda Holzworh of Fredericksburg, Wanda Morris of Richmond, five grandchildren, Patrick Holzworth, Courtney Latinga, Justin Holzworth, Cody Moubray, Bethany Moubray, five great-grandchildren, Laci Click, Brayden Holzworth, Myla Holzworth, Gianna Taylor and Kadon Moubray.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday December 29, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville with interment to follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Pastor Terry Jewell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28th at the funeral home.
