John Peyton Brooking, 96, of Barboursville, Va. passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022. He was born on July 10, 1925 to the late John Ezekiel Brooking and Mary Douglass Brooking.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Hicks Brooking and one sister, Thyrza McCauley of Earlysville, Va.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison with Masonic Rites. Pastor Tim Brown and Wendall Lamb will officiate. Interment will be in Holly Memorial Gardens, Charlottesville, Va.
