Joanne Aylor Halaby

JoAnn Aylor Halaby passed on October 22, 2026, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas. It was a sudden illness, and she will be greatly missed.

JoAnn was born to Malon H Aylor and Flora Yowell Aylor on December 3, 1944, in Madison County, Virginia. She was a very talented pianist, most of which she played by ear with only a few lessons. JoAnn was a compassionate friend to all animals, especially wildlife, cats, and her beloved Poodles.

Later in life, JoAnn was self-employed under her trade name Aylor Tax Service as her work included Bookkeeping and Tax preparation. She was a graduate of Hall's Real Estate Institute and worked under Halaby Construction, Inc., in Killeen, Texas.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents and sister Ruth Atcheson and brother Malon H Aylor Jr. She is survived by her brother Kemper H Aylor of Madison VA, sisters Annie Ellis (Bob) of Burleson, TX, Sue Beavers (Jack) of Joshua, TX and Diane Bomar (Jerry) of Munford, TN., and several Nieces and Nephews.

Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper, Virginia.
